Internal Auditor

Job description / Role

- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk based audit programme for evaluation of management controls, risk reduction and quality improvement.
- Identify key risks and controls.
- Perform gap analysis, identify weaknesses and ensure internal control systems of underwriting, finance and investment, reinsurance operations are efficient and effective.
- Ensure reliability and integrity of internal processes, systems and information provision.
- Ensure processes and systems are aligned to policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
- Evaluate and test the design and operation of accounting and financial control systems.
- Identify and report departures from agreed procedures, standards or regulations.
- Identify and report the reasons for such departures, their actual or possible consequences and recommend remedial actions.
- Document the results of audits performed, obtain management comments and present findings to the Board Audit & Risk Committee.

Requirements

- 3 years’ work experience in Internal Audit of Financial Services is essential.
- Relevant professional qualification is highly preferred.
- Insurance/ Re-insurance experience is desired.
- Prior work experience in DIFC companies preferred.
- Excellent in English, Arabic would be a strong advantage.
- Excellent Communication, Organization, planning skills, judgment and decision making ability.
- Should be proactive and attention to detail.
- Should be a team player and flexible to work in a small team.
