Employment: Full Time

• Understand functions and activities, in assigned areas, to determine the nature of the operations and the adequacy of control systems to achieve established objectives including the efficiency with which resources are employed and to identify profit and/or cost-effective improvements.
• Participate in the development of audit objectives for audit assignments, to assist the assigned auditor in preparing the audit letter.
• Conduct research, analysis & benchmarking for the processes under review.
• Participate in the development of audit planning documents such as audit scope, process understanding, audit program etc to ensure all risks are identified and are addressed in the pan.
• Identify sufficient, factual, reliable, relevant and useful information to achieve the audit objectives.
• Perform testing of internal controls to ensure the design is effectiveness.
• Ensure that sufficient documentation is gathered in order to understand the audited business process.
• Prepare or assist in preparing working papers, which record and summarize data on the assigned audit areas and the results of the audit examination.
• Develop or assist in developing the audit report and recommendations.
• Perform follow up audit to verify the adequacy of action taken by the management to correct reported deficiencies on a regular basis.
• Assist in developing MIS reports analyzing the status of implementation of management action plan.
• Perform or participate in special reviews or ad-hoc assignments as directed.
• Prepare minutes of meetings for all meetings attended/ participated.
• Attend training programs and share knowledge.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years' of work experience preferably in the area of Internal Audit, Risk, Governance, and Compliance experience in a large organization or in a professional consultancy firm.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Commerce or equivalent is preferred.
• A full or partial professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIA or equivalent of a recognized international accounting/auditing body is desirable.
• Knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
• Fundamental knowledge of accounting principles and techniques, financial reporting, controls, risk management, and governance processes.
• Advantage of Dredging/Marine industry knowledge
