Job description / Role

Kinetic has partnered with a leading bank who are hiring an internal auditor to be based in Umm Al Quwain.

The main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Perform risk-based internal audits of the bank's operations, processes, and activities to assess the adequacy of internal controls and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business units to develop action plans to address identified issues and ensure appropriate remediation measures are implemented.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of risk assessment frameworks, internal control frameworks, and audit policies and procedures.
• Conduct stress tests for various macroeconomic factors and assess the impact on portfolio quality.
• Development, validation, research, and other data analytics tasks.
• Stay updated with relevant regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and emerging trends in internal auditing to enhance audit methodologies and practices.

To be successful you will need to meet the following:

• Bachelor's degree. An MBA in Finance/Economics/Business Administration is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing BASEL reporting.
• Must have experience within the banking industry in the UAE.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and reporting standards. IFRS-9 is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
