Employment: Full Time

The role will lead system implementations and upgrades of Investment Accounting tools with a key focus on automation of process and controls.

The role is a business consulting role which requires the successful candidate to have data and analytics skills and strong experience of tools such as SCD and TLM.

Description
* Interface extensively and build relationships with business partners across Operations, Investment Services, Legal, IT and Investment Departments.
* Participate in new instrument and system upgrade projects, liaising with the Account's project lead and ITD to ensure automation of processes is maximized using the technology available.
* Represent IAD in regular meetings with ITD and Account's Project Team to develop and progress business as usual change requests and manage the requirements of IAD under the agreed Roadmap with Simcorp Dimension (SCD).
* Deliver Enhancements (adding new functionality) to SCD.
* Work with the Reconciliation and Investigation Sections to enhance automation of reporting and general reconciliation processes in TLM, along with configuration of access rights, exception management rules and file management from counterparties.
* Work with appointed IAD staff and Financial Accounting Division to automate financial reporting annual, monthly and ad hoc reporting for IFRS purposes.
* Offer and build multiple technical solutions covering various best of breed reporting and analytical tools
* Understand source data providers that contribute to the NAV computed in SCD. This includes building knowledge of Investment Service Division (ISD) Data management role in contributing to pricing, portfolio set up and data management in SCD. Use this knowledge to improve existing data flows for IAD.
* Improve existing documentation and produce new documentation for all future Requirements/Solutions
* Train Business Users on how to use SCD, TLM and any new tools that are implemented Focus on User Issues with an ability to understand priorities and associated timelines.
* Lead the design and build of dashboards, visualizations and analytics Generate solution documentation for design, training and support purposes Work to a high standard of design and delivery within pre-determined timelines

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
* Additional degree/professional qualifications in relevant field desirable (Systems, Computing, etc). Additional Accounting qualifications will be an advantage.
* Fluency in English, both written and verbal and experience in working across diverse teams in project environments for systems support, changes and implementations
* Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in finance/BI/Analytics systems for a top-tier institutional investor or asset management company.
* In depth knowledge of a major recognised accounting platform, with SimCorp Dimension (SCD) knowledge being a major advantage, and implementing and testing such systems.
* Good breadth and depth of various typical Finance/BI/Analytics systems tools such as, Smartstream TLM, Oracle Hyperion, Bloomberg, MicroStrategy including Excel macros and MSAccess and data management tools, etc.
* Broad understanding of the holistic asset management value chain (front/ middle/back office investment and support activities) and all their elements: financial, operational, technical.
* Excellent working knowledge of equity, alternative and fixed Income instruments through direct exposure to systems supporting recording, reconciliation and accounting of these security types.
* Strong business skills, including stakeholder management, preparing and delivering presentations and workshops, and collecting (and challenging) requirements
