Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:

Investment specialist working closely with the branches to provide investment advisory to clients across segments; thereby increasing cross-sell of investment products and private banking services. Managing advisory relationships with the portfolio of clients and increasing share of wallet.

Principal Accountabilities:

Work Management

• Qualify prospective investment clients within the Elite, Corporate and Commercial client base and provide advisory services in order to cross-sell investment products.
• Manage investment advisory relationship with the portfolio of clients to increase share of wallet and overall investment product penetration within the bank's clients.
• Spend considerable time in the assigned Elite Customer and Branches, and work closely with Elite and Commercial RMs to help them qualify investment clients and thereby increase penetration in the existing base.
• Acquire new-to-bank clients through the investment products route.
• Provide advisory services across a range of investment solutions: funds, execution of fixed income securities and international equity, structured notes, local and regional equity execution, international and local IPOs etc.
• Provide advisory services for private banking facilities in coordination with international partner banking partner.
• Keep abreast with the developments in the global and regional capital markets in order to provide high quality of advice.

• Manage relationships with Elite Centres, Branches, Commercial and Corporate Banking units in order to receive regular referrals for investment advisory.
• Coach and guide Elite RMs to improve client qualification and increase referrals from the existing base.
• Ensure consistency of high level of client service.
• Ensure compliance to internal and external regulatory requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance, Business Management or Science
• CISI qualification or equivalent
• 5-7 Years' experience in wealth management, investment sales, private banking or client advisory with a strong grounding in Consumer banking
