Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a large investment firm is currently recruiting for an Investment Operations Officer to join their Investment Team who will function as an integral part of a close-knit group of investment professionals. The incumbent will be responsible for reports and administration of the Investment portfolios.

Role Scope:

• MIS Reports and administration of the Investment portfolios.
• Assets under management – position and performance review reports and presentation for the Investment Committee and the Board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monitoring on day to day basis for the Investments performance reporting purposes to CIO and eventually for presentation to the Investment Committee
• Executing daily mark to market reports for Public Equities and Fixed Income Portfolios
• Executing re-balancing of foreign equities quarterly in order to align with Investment Policy Guidelines for the passively managed portfolios
• Keeping the track of all major world stock/bonds commodity markets news and events and disseminating the relevant information to the team.
• Executing and posting transactions and generating daily reports
• Coordinating and organizing the Bank Accounts and Relationship opening process with counterparties/fund managers etc.
• The constant coordination with Accounts Department and Trading Desks for making funds available to respective trading accounts to facilitate hassle-free re balancing/trading of foreign equities.
• Liaising with local portfolio companies and facilitating them with their operational requirements (approvals/sign-offs/Legal papers (Licenses & certificates/Board papers etc.)
• Investment operations and administration by coordinating on investment processes, assisting in setting up of investment platforms, liaising with counterparts to execute transactions

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree with a strong economic background
• Preferably a CFA Charter Holder
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Financial Services Operations
• Progressive experience in investment banking, strategic consulting, private equity or other relevant experience
• Must have outstanding research, financial modelling, analytical and valuation skills
• Must possess superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills
• Experience in driving important work streams in private equity investments or M&A work, conducting due diligence and working with external parties
• Must be a strong team player with demonstrated ability and interest in working closely with team members and delivering quality work under tight schedules

Whilst it is open to other nationalities, UAE nationals would be preferred.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working in an investment company, with a blend of experience covering different investment classes.
