Job description / Role
The IP Converged Solutions Specialist is responsible for managing and providing technical led support to various internal departments and external direct & indirect customers.
Success in this role relies on a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of the Network and Security Market, across all verticals and a proven ability to manage multiple projects. The successful person will forge strong, trusted relationships with internal and external customers and be a key element to future success and growth of Converged Business.
The scope of the role is twofold (A) Pre Sales Support Responsibility and (B) Post Sales Support - Gain specification / acceptance of Network and Security products from System Integrators, IT consultants, MEP contractors, government departments, MOI, MCC, DPS, datacenter owners, and tier 1 end users.
Responsibilities:
Pre Sales Support
• Review pre-sales support offered by way of design, product selection, training and general technology advice and post sales technical support.
• Set SLA’s and drive continuous improvement in the quality of support, and range of services offered to group departments, and external customers
• Communicate Technical Team objectives and strategies to team members on a regular basis
• Liaise with colleagues in the business to generate and implement ideas that improve service and revenues
• Identifies, suggests and develops new tools, collateral and processes which enable the commercial teams and customer to sell more solutions
• Support accredited partners with appropriate technical content to ensure tender response documents, and client presentations portray solutions in best manner
Post Sales Support
• Is part of a team of employees that meet bi-monthly to review opportunities for new products, product GAP analysis, and product enhancement opportunities and relay the information to the Technical/product team at Head Office
• Supports Country/Territory Managers with presentations and response documents to end users, consultants, main contractors and other specifiers
• Support Infrastructure field based sales engineers in the presentation, demonstration and specification of products to key system integrators
• Provides, design, product selection and specification assistance against competitive solutions and end user requirements as required by internal and external customers
• Presents new Network and Security product offerings to accredited installers at events
• Provides hands on training to customers specific to products, or to projects installations
• Delivers technical presentations to Customers, suppliers and employees on new standards updates and product development
Requirements
• The ideal candidate shall have DPS, MCC, MOI Cisco CCNA or equivalent certifications
• Drive work process improvements in response to customer requirements
• Establish an environment of continuous improvement in the support provided
• Tailor presentations to address the specific business needs of the audience
• Produce high quality reports / proposals
• Manage a number of simultaneous tasks and projects by prioritising effectively and monitoring progress
• Spot commercial opportunities ahead of competitors
