IT Asset Support Executive

Job description / Role

- Managing activities within the business, IT, finance and procurement, in ensuring valid record keeping for deployed assets.
- Implementing or supporting Asset Database solution to ensure correct record keeping and reporting capabilities.
- Maintaining current knowledge of software or hardware changes and planning changes appropriate in response to business needs.
- Managing and tracking associated hardware and ensuring asset movement is tracked and recorded.
- Developing, implementing and supervising maintenance of chargeback and for non-warranty related fix expenditure.
- Supervising, managing, motivating, and training staff ensuring that they employ the best professional methods, practices, and standards to all services they deliver in relation to Asset Install, Movement, Retirement etc.
- Preparing or supervising associated reporting for management team related to Assets Movement, Newly added assets, retired assets and recommendation to refresh/retire.
- Updation of the Asset Database
- Validation and remediation of Asset Tagging policy to ensure compliance
- Design of Asset Recording data sheets
- Data scrubbing exercise to ensure captured information contains all relevant Asset information prior to upload
- Ensure that All asset management procedures and polices apply to software licenses agreed

Take part in Incident Related Asset Movement
- Service Management Toolsets to be reviewed to capture Incident Related Asset Movements as part of a resolution code to the Incident
- Toolset to allow for recording of retired/replaced/disposed asset information with installed/active Asset
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting to identify incidents resolved by “Asset Swap”


Project Related Asset Movement – Install or Removal
- Project or IMAC interaction with Asset Management resources
- Information capture of newly deployed or removed assets
- Asset Database upload through bulk upload process where applicable

Vendor Management
- Managing vendors who are engaged in delivering and/or removing assets from buildings and updating the asset system accordingly. This includes mass and/or partial deployments of devices.

Reporting requirements
- Contractor will provide management with monthly reports and recommendations to include the following:
- Asset movements
- Newly added assets
- Retired assets

Recommendations to refresh/retire
- Comply with all reasonable audit recommendations to ensure compliance with internal processes and regulations.

Manage the assignment of ICT assets to employees as per current procedure including, but not limited to:
- Laptops
- Desktops
- Portable Projectors
- Blackberries
- USB modems
- All IP enabled Devices

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or accounting or equivalent with five (5) years of experience
- ITIL V3 Foundation certified or ITSM knowledge
- Excellent command on Microsoft Office suite
- Understanding and hands-on experience with ITSM and asset management tools
- Understanding of financial accounting and experience
- Excellent presentation skills
- Good command over English (written and spoken). Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently
- Good analytical thinking and decision making skills
- Willing to work outside office hours/public holidays etc…
