Job description / Role
The post holder will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business and will provide back up and support to the IT Manager. The post holder is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems, and Microsoft Exchange environment plus general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software. The position provides exposure to a broad range of IT-related projects and activities.
• Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Manager
• Support and maintain the MS Servers and Win7 desktops/laptops
• General maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
• Exchange server mailbox maintenance
• Responsible for managing backups
• Creating purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software
• All other IT related work as may require
Requirements
IT Support Engineer candidates must have Degree / Diploma in Computer Engineering or equivalent with minimum 2 years of experience in IT support field, depth knowledge in Server/PC hardware, Peripherals, network devices, security software, knowledge in firewall etc. Must have a strong problem-solving skills and be able to identify and diagnose problems with very little information. Must have strong communications skills, patience and listening skills. Provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business.
