Job description / Role
The IT Developer - Java is responsible for developing and supporting Java based applications within FZ IT, Some of the major projects that work against the Reservation System, are being built in Java.
Key Accountabilities
Key Activities
- Setup and maintain latest version of systems within flydubai, for testing and debugging purposes
- Implement health checks to ensure the systems are available for use 24*7
- Guide vendor/s in applying latest design principles against Java systems being developed outside
- Ensure high performance and availability of applications
- Review Java Code written by development partners, and ensure conformity to coding standards/best practices
- Develop in-house applications in Java area
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications / Experience/ Knowledge / Skills
Minimum Qualification
- BE/ BTech/ MCA/ MSc/ BSc
Experience
- 6 to 8 yrs. of development effort in Java
- Knowledge / Skills
- Skilled in Java Technologies
- Skilled in design reviews
- Certificate / License required
- Java certifications are desirable
Core Competencies
- Ability to develop applications in Java
- Ability to analyse Java code, identify areas of optimisation ,and perform tuning
- Ability to work with vendors, perform design reviews and ensure applications developed are best of breed
- Experience in using IDEs/Java packages/Rule Based Engines
- Experience in design/Java development of Middle ware systems
- Ability to work in a team, use the synergy of the team, and contribute to the growth of the company
