IT Manager

Job description / Role

The IT Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting the company's information technology infrastructure, maintaining hardware, ensuring the security and integrity of data, optimizing IT operations, and driving innovation to improve business processes. The ideal candidate must possess a solid blend of technical expertise, leadership qualities, and strong problem-solving abilities in order to effectively support and drive the technology needs of the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to facilitate business operations and achieve company objectives
• Manage and administer the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, hardware, software applications, and security systems, to ensure high availability and optimal performance
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify technology needs, evaluate potential solutions, and make recommendations on implementing new systems or upgrading existing ones.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the company's websites, intranet portals, and other web-based applications
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of an ERP system, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and business processes
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the ERP system, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization
• Ensure compliance with data protection and security standards, implementing appropriate controls and policies to protect the company's data and information assets.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A relevant master's degree is a plus
• Proven experience (+5 years) in IT Management and project management, preferably within the retail or FMCG distribution industry
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and software applications, including network administration, servers, storage, cloud services, hardware, and security practices
• Knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc., with hands-on experience in implementation
• Demonstrated experience in leading complex technology projects, from initiation to successful completion
• Proficiency in project management methodologies, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all levels
• Solid experience in IT budgeting, contract negotiation, and vendor management
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, capable of identifying complex issues and devising effective solutions
• Proactive and result-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Comprehensive understanding of data protection regulations and best practices
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
