IT Project Manager – Aladdin Project/Investment Firm

Job description / Role

A leading financial services organization is seeking a highly experienced and certified IT Project Manager to join their North America Team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in managing complex IT projects within the investment or financial services industry, and demonstrate a strong command of project methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), stakeholder engagement, and business-technology alignment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, manage, and deliver IT projects in line with internal methodologies and standards.
• Define project scope, goals, budgets, timelines, and success metrics.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage all project phases from initiation to closure.
• Collaborate with internal teams, senior management, business users, and external vendors.
• Oversee project procurement activities including RFPs, agreements, renewals, and budgeting.
• Manage risks, resolve issues, and adapt plans to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure all project documentation, reporting, and meeting records are maintained.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes clearly and consistently.
• Utilize appropriate project management and collaboration tools effectively.
• Support continuous improvement by contributing to best practices in project execution.

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Mandatory)
• PMP Certification (Mandatory)
• PMI-ACP or Agile certification (Mandatory)

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of IT project management experience, with at least 3 years in Agile environments.
• Proven track record delivering complex IT projects in financial services, preferably in investment management.
• Experience managing both Application and Data Analytics projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Expertise in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Familiar with IT infrastructure, software development, cloud, cybersecurity, and data tools.
• Strong knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in project collaboration tools, financial management, and change management frameworks.

• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making ability.
