Employment: Full Time

The IT Specialist is responsible to plan, direct or coordinate activities in the fields of information systems, project management and security best practices for the organization. Responsible for all aspects of ECFT TSA compliance and that all rules and regulations (internal and external) concerning security are developed and followed (including external audits).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage backup, security and user help systems
• Direct daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines
• Review and approve all systems charts and programs prior to their implementation
• Test and verify hardware and support peripherals to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, analyzing and recording test data
• Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology and stay abreast of advances in technology
• Responsible to research, test and supervise the installation of computers or computer-related equipment which the organization intends to purchase and utilize
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications
• Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface

Requirements

Educational Background:

• Bachelor degree plus a professional certification

Job-Related Experience:

• 5 to 8 years

Other Job-Related Skills/Background:

• 5+ years of experience in working within an IT department in the GCC with knowledge and experience in the fields of information systems, project management and security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral), including presentation and training skills.
• Ability to multi task and meet tight deadlines.
• Team player who is cooperative with sharing of information and knowledge.
• Proven ability to work on the administrative and operational side of the business.
