IT Teacher

Job description / Role

A new technical school in Abu Dhabi is hiring highly qualified and experienced IT Teachers for the upcoming school year 2022 - 2023. With its state-of-the-art facilities, the school offers technical education and training to students from 16 - 18 years of age.

Job Specifications:

• Responsible for planning, managing, and improving the learning of students, working with other team members.
• In collaboration with the team to implement and continually improve curriculum, teaching-learning, and assessment strategies.
• To manage the learning of the students and collaborate with other teachers.
• To manage all facilities and activities related to achieving student learning.
• To play a leadership role in role-modeling behavior, attitudes, and learning behaviors for students.
• To develop and maintain teaching materials and assist with program quality assurance processes.

Requirements

Education Required:

• Master craftsman in the relevant area or skilled worked in the relevant field
• Excellent oral and written English is essential
• IELTS of at least 7 Academic band scores for non-native English speakers (mandatory)
• Arabic language an advantage

Experience Required:

• Experience (industry or university or craft) in a relevant area of programming of application by various programming languages e.g. C++ Java etc. and programming of video applications, gaming applications, etc.
• Minimum two years of relevant vocational teaching/training with experience of qualifications delivery.
• Ability to teach some of the following:
• Programming microcontroller systems using C/C++
• Programming of video applications, gaming applications, and Apps for phones and tablets
• Cultural awareness of the area

IT skills:

• Practice skills in the relevant area including up-to-date legal requirements and Health & Safety regulations.

Preferred:

• Work experience in the GCC region or similar location.
