Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a retail and hospitality conglomerate headquartered in Dubai who is looking to hire an Arabic speaking Java Hybris Developer to join their team. As a Java Hybris Developer you will report to the group Head of Technology and work in a young growing web team of circa 150.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, highly available and user friendly web components for the existing e-Commerce application using all the necessary development tools. You will be expected to collaborate with the other team members throughout the development lifecycle and develop proof-of-concepts (R&D) in collaboration with the architectural team. You will also be expected to collaborate with business and product owners to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience in Java Development using Agile Development and a minimum of 2 years in-depth experience with web based/e-commerce applications on HYBRIS. Experience with HTML, JSP/JSF, TagLibs, XML, JavaScript, AJAX and Caching techniques such as Varnish are requirements, along with proficiency in SQL (Oracle DB), JDBC and ORM tools. Knowledge of Hibernate and JPA are assets. In addition, it is essential you are a fluent Arabic speaker (Native level) and be in possession of one or more Java Certifications (Sun Certified Java Programmer, Sun Certified Java Programmer).
