Job description / Role
Our client, an International Oil Production Company based in Dubai are looking to recruit a number of Joint Venture Accountants.
In this role you will maintain the books of accounts for the Joint Venture Assets/Licenses and adhere to procedures in terms of JV accounting. You will interact with a variety of stakeholders within the business that will include, cost engineers, budget holders, asset managers and other department officials in order to obtain the required information to complete the month end close. You will also prepare and issue JV billings, cash and bank reconciliation statements, cost carry statements, in addition to the review of gross book transactions recorded for each month, before running the cutback process for net reporting.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Degree in Accounting coupled with a professional accountancy qualification such as CA, ACCA CIMA or ICA. You must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with an oil & gas operators/exploration and production companies. You should have excellent communication both verbal and written English. You should work well under minimal supervision and possess problem solving skills. You must have good knowledge of accounting principles, SOAPs, SORPs and accounting under JOA provision.
