Jr. QA/QC Engineer

Job description / Role

Assist in implementing the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and QA/QC procedures.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and coordinate with consultants/clients for inspections.
• Monitor ongoing site activities and report non-conformities (NCRs) to senior QA/QC Engineer.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Review method statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and material submittals.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation, records, checklists, and test reports.
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to ensure quality compliance.
• Assist in material receiving inspections and verification of approved materials.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company quality policies.
• Participate in internal audits and quality meetings.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 1–3 years of experience in QA/QC within construction or MEP projects.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, method statements, and inspection processes.
• Familiarity with local authority and consultant requirements (UAE experience preferred).
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system.
• Proficiency in MS Office and documentation handling.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Preferred Certifications (Advantage)
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification
• CSWIP / BGAS / NDT (for mechanical discipline)
