Junior Accountant

Job description / Role

- Prepare and maintain accounting system and reports, including running the accounting software.
- Receiving Invoices on daily basis from supplier.
- Receiving GRV from Stores Section.
- Preparing Payments on daily basis as per due invoices for supplier.
- Preparing Payments CDC & PDC against LPO received from Procurement Department.
- Ensure the Implementation of Accounting policies and procedures
- Follow up with the signatories for getting payments signed.
- Receiving LPOS from Procurement Department against the invoices received from suppliers.
- Making invoices ready for posting for monthly closing by attaching related documents.
- Process on time supplier’s invoices and payments by filling of the invoices & Payment vouchers.
- Booking and keeping records of the invoices.
- Reviewing of the time sheet with salary file received from HR Department to process.
- Preparing Manpower calculation based on time sheet received from Time Keeper.
- Payments and administration checks to ensure full compliance with laid down policies and procedures.
- Reconciling of supplier statement received day to day.
- Prepare and checking GIV on a monthly basis, keep the balance sheets up to date and assist with monthly account closings.
- Visiting Customer for payment collection

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3 years minimum in junior position in a related or similar industry
- Preference for work experience in the GCC
- Strong knowledge and experience in Quick Books System and MS Office is essential
- Experience in independently finalizing monthly and annual accounts is essential
- Strong experience in Payable accounting, Receivable Accounting, and General Ledger Accounting
