Junior Accountant

An International consultancy is looking for a junior accountant to perform general accounting tasks required for the month end close, including journal entries, accrual and prepaid schedules, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.

Control the recording of bank movements including preparing bank journals, bank reconciliations, cash flow forecast, daily bank statement, and recording client receipts.

Lead the A/R including invoicing and assist with the Revenue process including revenue reporting, expense analyses, bond requests and other ad hoc reporting.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Perform General Ledger accounting tasks and ensure a timely month end close. This includes:
• Prepare journal entries
• Prepare accrual and prepaid schedules
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Assist with year-end audit and tax schedules
• Control the recording of bank movements. This includes:
• Prepare bank journals on a weekly basis
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Prepare cash flow forecast
• Review the daily bank statements to identify client receipts
• Input client receipts / invoices into the finance system
• Lead the A/R process and assist with the Revenue processing. This includes:
• Ensure all invoices are posted
• Prepare invoicing schedule for client contracts
• Prepare revenue reports
• Prepare unbilled expense analysis
• Prepare case expense detail
• Process monthly chargebacks
• Prepare bond requests to the bank
• Prepare client development reports, DSO and imputed interest reporting
• Assist with payroll processing. This includes:
• Data entry
• Reconciliation of accounts
• Maintaining reporting schedules for US citizens
