Job description / Role
Charterhouse are currently working with an international property development firm whom are looking to hire a Junior Accountant to join their group finance team in Dubai.
As a Junior Accountant, you will support the Financial Controller with responsibility for month-end accounting, financial reporting and managing various stakeholders in the business. Your main responsibilities will include the accurate processing of accounting data in SAP across AP, AR & GL functions and the key accounting and general ledger processes of fixed assets, journals, accruals and pre-payments. On top of this, the role will oversee month-end closing and reporting processes for the business. This role shall also present the opportunity to assist with budget preparation, commercial analysis and ad-hoc accounting duties within planning & reporting functions.
Our client and the nature of their business will demand a highly proficient and capable candidate, both from a technical and soft-skill prospective. The successful candidate should be Degree educated with a part-qualified accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CPA), coupled with exposure to working within a real estate or service-based organisation with an ability to work accurately and across a high volume of accounting transactions. Applicants should also demonstrate a stable career-path, coupled with up to 2 years of experience, within the UAE and/or property development market.
