Job Description / Role: Junior Accountant

Position Summary:
• This position will work independently and handle day-to-day bookkeeping to maintain accurate, complete and timely information to achieve overall department objective.
• Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
• Completing bank reconciliations.
• Entering financial information into appropriate software programs.
• Must have oversight of monthly close, reviewing journal entries, reconciliation, and variance explanation.
• Ensuring all accounting transaction are performed correctly on time.
• Reconcile financial transaction every month, Validate and reconcile inventory and fixed asset accounts.
• Post journal entries accurately to tally balance sheets.
• Annual renewals -Insurance, JAFZA services & others
• Prepare Comprehensive VAT reports quarterly in compliance with UAE VAT Law. Proficient knowledge of VAT filing regulations
• Respond to inquiries to locate and resolve discrepancies.
• Effectively and efficiently manage the company’s petty cash operations through proper inspection and payments of bills, receipts and cash count.
• Conduct month end closing activities so that all current costs must be reflected as expenses of the current month and submitted to HQ.
• Follow up with customer for the pending payments, the reconciliation of customer account, and generating customer invoices.
• Coordinate with Internal and External Auditors in completing Audits.

Requirements

Educational Qualification:
• University Graduated

Additional Qualification:
• Working knowledge in Excel, Hands-on experience with accounting software, strong knowledge of UAE VAT.

Years of Experience:
• More than 3 years in Accounting Experience.
