Junior Accountant

Job description / Role

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Dubai. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a leading construction company, contributing to accurate financial record keeping and supporting our project financial management.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining financial records and preparing accurate reports.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare invoices and assist in tracking project expenses to maintain budget compliance.
- Collaborate with senior accountants to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial regulations relevant to the UAE.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong numerical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally in the accounting field.
- Prior experience in construction accounting is a plus but not required.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.

Salary:
AED 3,000 to 5,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
