Junior BIM Consultant Dubai

We are currently seeking for a professional with an excellent understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to join our Management Consultancy team in Dubai.  As an independent consultancy Turner & Townsend’s primary role on a project is to manage the implementation of BIM on behalf of our clients worldwide.

This includes developing BIM strategies managing the BIM implementation processes and providing assurance services. Applicants should have skill sets in project management construction management or architectural technology demonstrate an understanding of BIM and be able to demonstrate a use of BIM software applications and technologies. Applicant should also be able to demonstrate both self-management and team working skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills in English language.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Support the development of company BIM standards and updates as necessary
- Identify and implement areas of new technology and process
- Provide support to the tender bidding teams in order to win future projects
- Continuing development of in-house BIM capabilities within Turner & Townsend
- Provide BIM awareness and the necessary training to other members of the Company
- Advise project managers cost managers and project teams with regard to BIM data and data structure best practices Live Projects/ Project Support Mentor and support staff and project teams in model and content creation ensuring correct data and data structure as required conduct small training sessions for staff/ teams to demonstrate BIM software techniques and data content/ structure
- Help to manage project specific design content and design tasks
- Support the development and implementation of Employers information Requirements documents defining the client and project requirements
- Support the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans defining the client and project delivery approach
- Create clash detection coordination schedules and distribute clash detection reports
- Create and distribute key action reports from the meetings
- Undertake model validation exercises and report on deficiencies
- Ensure BIM standards are being followed by project stakeholders
- Advise Turner & Townsend project managers and project teams with regard to BIM best practices
- Review Building Information Models (visual and detailed interrogation)

Requirements

- Understanding of UK government BIM Standards and guidelines
- Proven experience in multidisciplinary working practices and interdependencies
- Enthusiastic and positive team player - Giving the project team confidence in the use of BIMUp to date knowledge of BIM technology and interoperability standards/ good all round technical knowledge
- Experience in communicating and working with cross-functional teamsGood spoken and written English
- Understanding of design BIM and procurement and its application in planning and construction management
- Excellent Communicator – ability to provide clear guidance to the whole project team to coordinate a successful outcome
- Experience in writing clear concise requirements and documentation
- Ability to demonstrate experience & knowledge of BIM authoring tools
- Experienced user of 3D design authoring tools - Revit Bentley or ArchiCAD
- Experienced in 3D coordination and clash detection software – Navisworks
- Basic knowledge of design assurance software – Solibri
- Basic understanding of 5D cost estimation process and tools - CostX  

Desired Skills & Experience 
- Proven experience in project management - pre and post contract experience
- Engagement with external BIM groups
- Understanding/ experience associated with the operational phase of a buildings life cycle
