Junior Civil Estimator

Job description / Role

We are looking for a Junior Civil Estimator with 3-5 years of experience in civil estimation, particularly in UAE-based construction projects. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in Candy (CCS) software and a strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, materials, and market rates.

Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects based on tender documents, BOQs, and specifications.
• Utilize Candy (CCS) software for quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and cost estimation.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with procurement and project teams to obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing bid submissions, cost comparisons, and value engineering proposals.
• Maintain an updated database of material costs, labour rates, and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and alternative construction materials/methods.
• Work closely with senior estimators and management to finalize tender pricing.

• Bachelor´s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years of of civil estimation experience in the UAE construction industry.
• Proficiency in Candy (CCS) software is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, methodologies, and market pricing.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred:
• Experience in infrastructure, fit out, building, or mixed-use development projects.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and project approval processes.
