Junior Estimation cum Design Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimation cum Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will assist in estimating project costs and contribute to designing electrical systems, ensuring projects meet both client requirements and industry standards. Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Estimation
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for home automation projects, including materials, labor, and other associated costs.

2. Proposal Preparation
• Assist in developing technical proposals and quotations for clients.

3. BOQ Creation
• Create Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for projects, detailing required materials and quantities.

4. System Design Support
• Support the design and layout of parking, security, and automation systems, potentially using AutoCAD.

5. Technical Support
• Provide technical assistance to the sales and project teams during pre-sales and estimation phases.

6. Coordination
• Coordinate with sales, project, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.

7. Documentation
• Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, proposals, and other project-related documentation.

8. Communication Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Additional Information
• Prior experience in a construction or engineering environment, especially in estimation or cost management, is highly desirable.
• UAE Driving License is advantageous but not mandatory.

Technical Skills
• Background in Electrical and Electronics.
• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred but not essential:
• Basic knowledge of home automation systems and protocols (e.g., Zigbee, Z-Wave, KNX).
• Familiarity with smart home ecosystems (e.g., Home Assistant, Control4, KNX).

Salary:
AED 4,000 to 5,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
