Job description / Role
To provide the full range of HR operational support to all areas of the business. To continuously strive to build the people capability within the business, in partnership with others in HR Department & Administration as necessary. To ensure the consistent implementation of a range of people policies; procedures and practice and to ensure adherence to respective country law.
Decision Making Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain key interfaces with the Line Managers and others as appropriate
Human Resources Responsibilities:
• To ensure that Recruitment & Selection best practice techniques are used, to enable the bar to be raised in terms of quality of recruits to drive and enhance overall business performance.
• To continuously build and improve the people capability within the business
• To ensure that smart recruitment decisions are made by utilising best practice selection techniques
• To ensure that all recruitments take place in compliance with the Recruitment Policy
Policies & Procedures:
• To work with the Regional HR Manager, CME and the team to ensure consistency of approach and best practice of the agreed HR policies, procedures and practices, to drive the added value projects agenda
• To assist in formulating and finalizing various HR policies and to ensure consistent implementation of those policies across the Middle East region
• To prepare the Staff Handbook and communicate it to all employees
Training & Development:
• To lead the occupational training, development and assessment agenda in the relevant business units, providing a first-class service to all
• Conduct Training Needs Analysis based on the Skills matrix of employees and monitor the progress of the employees
• Establish and facilitate a training administration and logistics function
Employee Relations (Disciplinary, Grievance Procedures, Employee Wellbeing):
• To ensure that the Disciplinary & Grievance Policy for CME are implemented consistently and that they are updated from time to time in compliance with the respective country Labor Laws
• To support the business in managing disciplinary and grievance issues
• To lead, support and guide the Colas We Care initiatives
General:
• To assist the HR team in delivering a quality service at all times
• To assist HR Managers, -in CME in day-to-day HR related activities
• To assist the Regional HR Manager CME and MESEA in reward and retention issues
• To pro-actively put forward suggestions to improve the structures and cost base of the business
• To develop and maintain organisation structures for the relevant business units to improve operational effectiveness
• To be a business partner, confidant to the Line Managers and provide them with advice on relevant HR issues and also form a close relationship with their direct reports
• Build and maintain key interfaces with the Line Managers and others as appropriate
Customer Service Responsibilities:
• To Provide excellent Customer satisfaction to the Regional HR Manager CME & MESEA, HR Manager Qatar, Oman, HR Department Staff, Business Unit Managers and their teams
• To Provide Employee satisfaction, recruitment, training and development, employee relations etc.to the Business Unit
• To keep network with Recruitment Consultants, Training Agencies, Candidates
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a must; a master's degree is a plus
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use insights to drive strategic HR initiatives
• Experience in talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development
• Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to adapt to new technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture
• Knowledge of speaking in Hindi is must
• Knowledge of understanding, reading, writing & speaking Arabic is must
