Junior Legal Counsellor - Bilingual

Job description / Role

ALJ international has an opening for a position of Junior Legal Counsellor in Dubai, UAE.

The main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Draft, Prepare and proofread various commercial agreements and legal documentation in track mode both in English and Arabic Languages;
- Assist with the preparation of briefing letters, correspondences, meeting minutes, memos, resolutions, Power of Attorneys, etc.;
- Liaise with various Government entities for Legal matters;
- Support in company set-up and preparation of all documents required for corporate governance including but not limited to board resolutions, shareholders’ resolutions, partnership agreements, articles of associations, amendments to articles of associations, and forms related to incorporation of companies;
- Correspond with external counsels, regional/international Legal departments with respect to various Legal matters;
- Draft documentation for amendments, withdrawals, mergers and dissolutions of companies whether in freezones or Dubai mainland;
- Work directly with Legal Counsels, operations and external counsels during closings and corporate transactions;
- Prepare audit letters for distribution to auditors and authorities;
- Monitor litigation information and prepare draft responses to auditors’ requests for information;
- Perform Legal research and draft memoranda of advice, as and when requested;
- Any additional tasks that may be required from time to time.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Law
- Lawyer Registration
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Junior Lawyer.
- Fluency in Arabic and English language is a must, knowledge of French language is an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word
