Job Overview:
Support maintenance planning activities at the Sharjah Waste to Energy Plant, ensuring optimal equipment reliability and efficient execution of maintenance work.

Job Purpose:
To assist in developing and coordinating maintenance plans, schedules, and work orders while ensuring proper resource allocation and documentation for plant maintenance activities.

Major Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance work orders through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Coordinate with the maintenance and operations team for work execution.
• Develop job plans including scope, procedures, and resource requirements.
• Manage spare parts requisitions and material availability for planned work.
• Update and maintain maintenance schedules in CMMS.
• Assist in planning shutdowns and outage activities.
• Monitor work order backlog and prioritize maintenance activities.
• Prepare daily/weekly maintenance schedules and coordinate with operations.
• Ensure compliance with PTW (Permit to Work) system requirements.
• Maintain maintenance documentation and technical records.
• Assist in optimizing maintenance procedures and work processes.
• Perform additional duties that may be assigned, aligned with the role's level and organisational needs.
• Adhere to all IMS, Finance and Compliance policies and procedures throughout daily operations.
• Stop Work Authority: Authorized to immediately halt any work activity that poses unacceptable safety, environmental, or asset risks without fear of retaliation.

Job objective:

•Planned vs. unplanned maintenance ratio improvement
•Work order completion rate within scheduled timeframe

Requirements:

Required Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles
• Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies

Experience Required:
• 0-2 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or plant maintenance.
• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English for effective communication, documentation, and training requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred)

Physical Requisites:
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
• Ability to work in various environments, which could include offices, warehouses, or production floors, potentially with exposure to different temperatures, waste smells or noise levels.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as per the plant's operational requirements.
