Junior MEP Estimator

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior MEP Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in MEP estimation, a strong background in MEP subcontracting within the UAE, and hands-on expertise with Candy (CCS) software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works based on tender documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Utilize Candy (CCS) software for quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and bid preparations.
• Analyse BOQs, project specifications, and contract documents to assess project scope and requirements.
• Work closely with procurement and project teams to obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative materials to enhance project competitiveness.
• Support value engineering and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate with the Estimation Manager and senior estimators to finalize tender submissions.
• Maintain an updated database of material costs, supplier rates, and labour costs.

• Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field is preferred.
• 3-5 years of MEP estimation experience in a UAE-based MEP subcontracting firm.
• Proficiency in Candy (CCS) software is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, local regulations, and market rates.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred:
• Experience in in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems estimation.
• Familiarity with local authorities’ standards and project approval process.
