Job Overview:
Support project execution and process optimization activities at the Sharjah Waste to Energy Plant, ensuring efficient plant performance and successful project activities.

Job Purpose:
To provide engineering support for plant projects and process improvements, while developing technical expertise in waste-to-energy operations and various projects management.

Job Responsibilities:
• Support the plant in various project activities.
• Conduct process analysis and optimization studies.
• Assist the Process Engineer to prepare technical documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and HAZOP studies.
• Perform process simulations and calculations.
• Support equipment selection and vendor coordination.
• Assist in troubleshooting process-related issues.
• Participate in plant performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams.
• Prepare progress reports and technical presentations.
• Stop Work Authority: Authorized to immediately halt any work activity that poses unacceptable safety, environmental, or asset risks without fear of retaliation.
• Perform additional duties that may be assigned, aligned with the role's level and organisational needs.
• Adhere to all IMS, Finance and Compliance policies and procedures throughout daily operations.

Job objectives:
• Learn about waste-to-energy processes.
• Develop practical skills in plant operations.
• Assist in Cost savings through process optimization.

Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering from an accredited university.

Required experience:
• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English for effective communication, documentation, and training requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred)

Physical Requisites:
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
• Ability to work in various environments, which could include offices, warehouses, or production floors, potentially with exposure to different temperatures, waste smells or noise levels.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as per the plant's operational requirements.
