Junior Quantity Surveyor - Interior Fit Out

Our client began as a family business over a century ago in Milan, the birthplace of Italian design. Since their expansion to Dubai in 2016, they've stayed true to the principles that have guided them for generations.

With that exemplary heritage in mind they are seeking a dynamic Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their Interior Design and Fit Out team in Dubai. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in cost management and project support within a creative and fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with senior surveyors and project teams to ensure accurate cost control and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for interior design and fit-out projects.
- Preparing initial BOQ's and quantity take offs
- Gathering weekly site up dates, logs and photos
- Monitor project costs and maintain cost control records to ensure budget adherence.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather and verify project information.
- Support in evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations and preparing comparison reports.
- Assist in the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
- Maintaining records, RFI's, VO Logs and subcontractor files
- Preparation of variation and payment certificates
- Site inspections and site measurements
- Support procurement activities related to materials and services.
- Contribute to risk management and value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contract conditions, and industry standards.

- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Strong interest in interior design and fit-out project environments.
- Basic knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and procurement procedures.
- Good analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with quantity surveying software is a plus.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally within the company.
- Prior internship or work experience in quantity surveying or related field is advantageous.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.

Salary:
AED 5000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
