Junior Structural Engineer - Bridge Design

JOB OVERVIEW:
Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, experience and as required by the Lead Engineer. This includes analysis, calculations, research, selection, layout, etc., necessary to develop required design documents.
Coordinate design efforts with other project personnel in the same or other departments.
Provide drawings for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters.
Direct and supervise Drafters activities related to own work.
Review shop drawings for conformance with project criteria and requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Preferably with Masters in Structural Engineering.
2-3 years of experience designing bridges for major roads (e.g. pre-stressed concrete box girder bridges, pre-stressed I girder bridges, structural steel bridges, segmental bridges etc.).
Knowledgeable in the use structural computer software such as STAAD, SAP2000, MATHCAD and Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Conversant with standard Codes such as AASHTO, BS5400, IBC, BS 8110, ACI 318.
Innovative, competent, proficient, eager to learn, and result oriented.
Good planning and organizational skills.
