About the role

Metier Group has been retained by a global family office based in Dubai to identify a junior trader/trading analyst to support its investment and trading operations. This position offers a unique opportunity for a high-potential, analytically minded individual to gain hands-on exposure to multi-asset trading across equities, fixed income, and digital assets. The role combines fundamental research, quantitative analysis, and trade execution, providing an exceptional learning platform within a sophisticated buy-side environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing and monitoring discretionary and systematic trades.
• Conduct research using bottom-up fundamental and top-down momentum approaches.
• Build and maintain analytical models for valuation, risk, and performance tracking.
• Support the development and back-testing of quantitative trading signals.
• Prepare trade summaries, performance reports, and market commentary.
• Collaborate closely with senior traders and portfolio managers on daily strategy discussions.

Candidate profile

• 1u20133 years of experience in trading, investment research, or quantitative analysis.
• Background in hedge fund, prop-trading, or asset-management environments preferred.
• Solid grasp of equity and fixed-income markets; interest in digital assets advantageous.
• Proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg; working knowledge of Python/R/SQL desirable.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• Highly numerate, detail-oriented, and eager to develop within a high-performance culture.
