Job Duty :
Definition:
- To work closely with team at all levels.
- Will assist with the growth of property/commercial books
- Able to understand all matters of UW process from beginning of submission, filing, risk analysis, exposure analysis, rating, claims handling of commercial property accounts
- Must demonstrate high quality work and is capable of reviewing work of peers.
- Has obtained a high level of knowledge of our markets.
- Actively participates in team goals and meetings
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensures proper rates/deductibles for acceptable exposures for new and renewal business.
- Provides quality customer service (internal and external)
- Effective documentation supporting conversations and decisions.
- Timely decision making and action to meet Company guidelines and goals.
- Attends and participates in appropriate meetings as required by reporting manager.
- Follows and meets performance expectations determined by the manager.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of commercial insurance underwriting.
- Ability to use initiative and apply innovative thinking.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment through written and oral communication.
- Ability to work independently to analyze complex issues.
- Contribute effectively to the accomplishment of all goals and objectives.
- Ability to interpret and apply set laws, rules and regulations.
- Obtain and utilize sensitive information discreetly and objectively.
- Maintain records; prepare reports/correspondence related to the work.
- Read, interpret, and input data efficiently and accurately.
- Determine when to escalate concerns to the appropriate level of management.
- Utilize computer and related software such as word, excel, PowerPoint effectively.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Physics, Engineering discipline
- ACII and similar qualifications
