Key Account Manager - Kuwait & Qatar

Our client is a fast-growing technology distribution and specialist IT service provider with offices throughout Europe and the Middle East region. They are currently seeking a Key Account Manager for the Kuwait & Qatar region.

The primary role of the Key Account Manager is to maintain a grow Key Domestic Retailers (KDRs) in both Kuwait & Qatar. They are required to grow and manage existing accounts by presenting new ranges & updating partners’ portfolios. Strategic planning is a key part of this job & requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the range or services the firm can provide and of the company’s competitors.

Key responsibilities include:
• Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
• Work with internal colleagues to meet Retailers needs i.e. Logistics, Marketing, sales staff.
• Arrange and participate in internal and external training sessions.
• Coordinate strategies with current brands and align with retailers.
• Prospect for potential new Retailers (especially within the carrier space) and turn this into increased business.
• Identify potential partners, and the decision makers within the organisations.
• Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the Retailer’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
• Participate in pricing the proposition to the Retailers.
• Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
• Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
• Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
• Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
• Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met.
• Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
• Work with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner.
• Understand the company’s goal and purpose so that they will continue to enhance the company’s performance.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and have 5 years of previous marketing experience. Arabic speaking candidates are preferred.
