Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Overview of duties
• In conjunction with the Chief Engineer, helps ensure the smooth running of the hotel's technical installations
• Under the guidance of the heat, light and power or repairs and maintenance Chief Engineer, operates, maintains and repairs all aspects of the hotel's maintenance in accordance with ACCOR standards to achieve optimum operating efficiency of services at all times.
• Interacts - cooperates with others in the Engineering Department.
• Interacts with other Departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions and festivities.
• Carries out repairs and maintenance of hotel premises wherever necessary ensuring guest and public areas are maintained well.

Main Responsibilities
• You will be responsible to respond to guest requests to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests and use the freedom to go beyond to turn those guest interactions into moments of magic.
• In addition, you will perform general maintenance tasks, complete assigned work orders and help in the maintenance and repairs of all the areas of the property.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in repairing commercial kitchen equipment (toasters, grills, ovens, etc.), as well as general maintenance including painting, tile repair, and light plumbing
• Must be able to work independently, understand the impact of their work on the overall operating budget, and exemplify a self-starting and conscientious employee.
• The Maintenance Technician position directly impacts the business by insuring that our physical plants meet our customer's expectations everyday.
• Good interpersonal skills with internal clients and presenting a professional image to our customers is also imperative.

Qualifications include:
• Must have previous experience in repair/maintenance of restaurant equipment. HVAC certification desired.
• Enjoy working as part of a team to assist other engineering personnel with routine repairs and preventive maintenance
• Earnestly respond to guest requests to ensure their personal comfort
• Take pride in our house and perform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas while monitoring and maintaining cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
• Enthusiastically prepare for daily work assignments and review priorities and special projects
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate time management
• Hold the highest standards for proper use of all equipment
• Responsibility for ensuring safety and security of the property, our guests and fellow associates
• Coordinates preventative maintenance activities with culinary customers. Interacts with outside suppliers, vendors and manufacturers.
• Responds to culinary repairs and checks in with culinary contact upon arriving on site.
• Keeps culinary contact updated on status for equipment repairs through updates in the work order management system.
• Prioritizes repairs and coordinates activates to eliminate loss of perishable product and makes temporary accommodations for perishable product due to primary equipment failure.
• Maintains an accurate inventory of supported equipment to include serial number, equipment identification number and manufacturer name as well as frequently used parts, equipment, and supplies to replenish as needed.

Requirements

Education / Professional experience
•  Professional certificate or diploma in technical studies
•  2 years of experience in a similar field
