Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The KM Advisor will assist lawyers and secretaries with legal research and ensure they have access to the information they need to do their job. The KM Advisor will also work with KM manager and different departments on implementing a broad range of KM projects, coordinating resources to develop content and monitoring and distributing current awareness material.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Carrying out legal research (case law and legislation). The person must be familiar with on-line legal databases in both Arabic and English;
- Liaising with authorities to obtain information/legislation/gazettes;
- Maintaining and developing Knowledge Bank (mostly indexing and entry of new content). The person must be familiar with knowledge management systems;
- Liaising with Finance team on a regular basis re payments of invoices for various subscriptions;
- Liaising and collaborating with lawyers and Learning and Development team on new projects;
- Assisting with training sessions;
- Identifying and disseminating current awareness materials;
- Developing content for the KM e-bulletin and client publications

Requirements

- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic
- Good online research skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Document management skills
