Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The aim of the role is to work with the Global knowledge function to develop and maintain knowledge across the office whilst identifying and delivering new KM business solutions.

Duties include:
• For each of the key relationships, develop an understanding of the business areas, their strategy, goals and objectives as well as the environment in which they operate.
• Work with the business to identify new KM products and services, encouraging it to unlock improved and new ways of leveraging knowledge.
• Provide consultancy and advice on KM technology, approaches, developments and solutions.
• Act as the primary contact for the initiation, design, or implementation, and delivery of KM projects in the UAE offices.
• Take responsibility for engaging with the relevant key stakeholders for creating a roadmap of future projects that will deliver required change in support of KM strategy..
• Act as business owner for Dubai KM systems.
• Draft policies and guidance in support of KM activities as well as input into, and on occasions deliver, training.
• Ensure the adoption and sustainability of KM solutions and ensure adherence to related policy, guidance and processes.
• Legal Updates - Reviewing 3 official Gazettes including, Federal, Dubai and Abu Dhabi every month. Subsequent tasks to follow once reviewed.
• Work alongside BD to create major client alerts
• DLAD - Working very closely with the DLAD to help support and develop the CLPD year.
• Delivery of regular training to fee earners including, legal drafting, time recording, and KM systems.

Salary:
AED 35,000 to 37,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• They need to be able to read and write Arabic to a professional standard as they will be researching local laws and advising on Gazette publication
• Significant experience, ideally gained within a law firm.
• Ability to work well with others, collaborative in outlook, and able to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• A good communicator who can deal confidently, tactfully and appropriately with people at all levels of the organisation.
• Professional, credible and persuasive. Able to influence key stakeholders and effect change with or without direct reporting authority.
• Comfortable working within a large and complex, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders and interest groups.
• A self-starter who can get things done without the need for detailed direction.
• Able to think strategically but also willing and able to roll his/her sleeves up and do whatever is needed to achieve key business objectives, including diving into and managing detail.
