Job description / Role
Supervise the Site Laboratory activities to control the quality of incoming Raw Materials and outgoing products (Concrete) to ensure our products meet all requirements of the client as per their project specifications and in line with in house IMS (Integrate Management System) quality control plan.
Raw Materials:
Supervise the process of Screening, sampling and testing of raw materials in the to ensure that all raw materials using to produce the concretes are as per local and international standards in line with clients specifications.
Outgoing product:
Supervising the process of sampling and testing of outgoing products to ensure that the set quality requirements are being followed.
Trial Mixes:
Organize the Laboratory Trials and Plant Trials to ensure that the proposed mixes are performing as per the approved requirements.
Coordinate and supervise the end product quality and attends third party tests if required.
Training and Management of Staff:
Conduct TBT (Tool Box Talk) and supervises the assigned team in order to ensure the competency of staff are updated and meets business requirements.
Site Laboratory Management:
Ensure that the calibration of lab equipment is performed by approved third party agencies as per the schedule inorder to keep Lab equipments in good working condition.
Record Keeping:
Maintains all reports like test reports, trial mix reports, Data sheet and MSDS (material safety data sheet) of raw materials.
Quality, Health & Safety:
Ensure that all employees within department are adhering to HSE and IMS standards and procedures.
Requirements
Education/ Qualification Diploma in Civil Engineering
Work Experience : 3- 5 years in construction field including minimum 2 years in concrete laboratory.
Knowledge Raw material classification , material testing, including durability test of concrete, International Quality Standards (BS, ASTM, BS EN, AASHTO, DIN, etc)
Computer Knowledge for Report Generations.
Skills: People Supervision, Problem solving and communication.
