Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Atkins is seeking a creative, energetic and highly motivated candidate to join our Dubai Team as a Landscape BIM Technician. With minimal supervision, applies technical professional proficiency to the solution of landscape BIM problems including multi-disciplinary design coordination, collaboration and integration.

Job Duties

- Create 3D Models of landscape architectural elements including hardscape, softscape, furniture, lighting etc. to support the various design stages (Master Planning, Concept, Schematic, Detailed, Tender & Construction Documentation)
- Participate in coordination, troubleshooting and clash detection sessions with internal and external disciplines involved in projects
- Develop model of landscape architectural families for general and project specific needs
- Set up new projects and develop project execution plans
- Work with other Engineers and Designers to build and manage model database, templates and standard procedures
- Perform checks on modelling efforts of others to ensure quality control and deadlines are met
- Provide on-going training and development of team, process and delivery based on emerging technologies/software
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed and manage priorities with minimal guidance
- Attend client presentations and meetings including internal team meetings and workshops
- Ability to multi-tasks in a fast-paced working environment

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in design, technology or related field
- 3-5 years experience in engineering or architectural industries
- Work experience in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Master Planning is an advantage
- Advance knowledge of BIM tools/programs/software like Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks etc.
- Strong computer skills (AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Sketch Up, Lumion, Microsoft Office)
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- In-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions with emphasis on project setup, file structuring, system troubleshooting etc.
- Available to work overtime to meet tight deadlines
