Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Your main responsibilities will be to oversee the management of accounts and payroll.

These daily duties include:
- Managing company accounts and payroll
- Reconciliations of bank accounts and large account payables (AP) accounts
- Trust transactions and sanctioned countries transactions
- Processing payroll including gathering data and processing leavers and joiners
- Reviewing current processes to ensure continued efficiency including recording invoices and payments on the system, releasing invoices and dealing with reconciliations for month end closing
- Monitoring cash position and ensuring cash flow optimization
- Identifying and undertaking different accounts projects
- Reviewing and authorizing payments

Month End/Year End processes include:
- Month end activities, such as reconciliations and accruals.
- Reviewing month end reconciliation files (including balance sheet, fixed assets, bank, prepayments, loans)
- Reviewing accounts and delivering month end reporting, such as our monthly Finance Pack
- Providing support to the wider team during the annual audits
- Managing the annual SRA audits with support and guidance

Requirements

- Be a Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years accounting experience from a law firm or professional services background
- Have compliance experience from the region
- Have excellent managerial skills with a proven track record in delivering best practice accounts services to stakeholders
- Have a good understanding of payroll and UAE labour law
- A good understanding of general auditing processes
- Be innovative, creative and driven to work efficiently and effectively
- Have good commercial sense and excellent attention to detail
- Lead by example especially with regards to quality control and communication skills

Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting packages and software
- Computer literate and highly proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Proficiency in improving internal processes and systems
