JOB PURPOSE

Leverage strong expertise in financial services and Fintech trends to lead the development of ADCB’s innovation and digital strategy, in partnership with ADCB’s business units to create revenue opportunities and differentiation within the financial services industry.

Requirements

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategy Formulation and Execution :
Assist and lead the development of ADCB’s innovation and digital strategy business wide, in partnership with Group Heads and drive the strategy agenda comprising of corporate, digital and innovation initiatives throughout the Group in order to create revenue opportunities
Track the execution of the strategy against actual results and suggest remedial measures in order to maintain alignment
Recalibrate the strategy annually to ensure changes in the political, economic, social, technological and regulatory environment are taken into consideration
Conduct market research in order to develop, test and refine ideas and prototypes.

Governance Structure and Framework :
Establish Group level and project level governance routines to ensure ADCB governance and quality standards are maintained
Track and ensure embedding of products and initiatives including processes to ensure effective and efficient execution of approved strategy.
Prepare and analyse strategy decks for the Performance Management Committee and Management Executive Committee in order to ensure accurate information is provided.

Strategic Initiatives :
Advise Senior Leadership on the opportunities identified, from idea generation workshops conducted across the business, and provide recommendations for implementation to ensure the correct initiatives are prioritised and actioned
Activate collaborative ‘work cells’ to deliver against selected initiatives and provide direction and support to the teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the strategy
Monitor product and segment performance against defined KPIs to ensure stakeholders understand whether to harness, exit or grow the segment or product.

People Management :
Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance.
Manage the effective achievement of the team’s objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation.

Budget Management :
Contribute to the preparation of the business area’s budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.

Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures :
Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation.

Continuous Improvement :
Identify opportunities to contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment.

Customer Service :
Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions.
