Lead Electrical Engineer

Job description / Role

The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for our ADNOC for the Al Omairah Island Accommodation & Non-Process Buildings, Offshore - planning, coordinating, and supervising all electrical engineering works for civil building construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and applicable local authority regulations

• Lead and manage all electrical engineering activities for building projects including power distribution, lighting, ELV systems, fire alarm, earthing, and lightning protection.
• Review and coordinate electrical shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical queries.
• Ensure electrical works are executed as per approved IFC drawings, specifications, and consultant instructions.
• Coordinate with design consultants, MEP coordinators, and other disciplines (civil, architectural, mechanical).

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• Professional certification or local authority approval is an advantage.
Experience
• 10–15 years of experience in electrical engineering for civil/building construction projects.
• Proven experience working with contractors on high-rise, residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.

Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems and authority regulations.
• Ability to lead site teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project coordination tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
