Employment: Full Time

Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Instrument Engineer to work as part of Client's Operations Group and will be reporting to Client for a nominal period of 12 months.

Core Responsibilities required as below:
- The Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer is primarily engaged in the design, modeling, and analysis of I & C engineering requirements on a project, tender or proposal, as per client standards, international codes, and project scope of work
- Planning and executing Instrumentation engineering design for field instrumentation, Distributed Control System (DCS), Supervisory control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Integrated Control System (ICS), Fire and Gas, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Telecommunications systems. This entails the preparation of basic design , FEED and detailed design of the instrumentation and controls part of the project
- Ensuring that the design is carried out as per the industry standard practices and in conformance with the quality management system
- Co-ordination with Project and client
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals and pre-qualification documents in what relates to Instrumentation engineering design
- Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Project Managers and Discipline Heads
- Assimilating the evolution of new products and technology, and updating oneself on the latest international standards in terms of engineering design practices and their applications
- Identifying new methodology of work process required for higher productivity.
- TBE, VDR and follow-up engineering activities

Requirements

Skills / Qualifications

Experience Profile:
- Minimum of 15+ years engineering experience in oil and gas field including onshore facilities
- Must have working knowledge and experience of instrumentation and control discipline relevant onshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices
- Recent working experience of minor modifications and projects within oil and gas field

Educational Qualifications:
- Degree level qualification in Instrument and Control Engineering

Competencies/Skills/Others:
- Experience in minor modifications and projects
- Should be pragmatic, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative
- Able to present and write technical reports in fluent English
- Expected to take ownership of issues and follow them through to completion
- Willingness to interact directly with people
- Ability to work in an organised and structured fashion, and within time constraints
