Lead Interior Designer

Job description / Role

We are currently looking for a highly creative and experienced Lead Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, UAE.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design, with a passion for creating innovative and functional spaces. In this role, you will lead design projects from concept through execution, collaborating closely with clients, architects, and contractors.

The projects are predominately across the UAE and KSA, working on luxury hotel and resort projects with top tier hotel operators.

Responsibilities:
- Lead design projects from initial concept development to final implementation, ensuring alignment with client vision and project goals.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget, providing expert advice and creative solutions.
- Develop comprehensive design plans, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D visualizations, using industry-standard software.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to financial constraints.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, address potential issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Oversee the selection of materials, furnishings, and finishes, ensuring they meet design specifications and client expectations.
- Stay updated on design trends, materials, and technologies, incorporating innovative ideas into projects.
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering their professional development.

- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Interior Designer, with a minimum of 8 years in a leadership role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing hotel and resort projects internationally
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial awareness.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards in the UAE.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Salary:
AED 30,000 to 40,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
