Job description / Role

Role Summary:

Engineering associated with the gas turbine component repair process. Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies associated with gas turbine repairs.

Essential Responsibilities:

Technical leadership for gas turbine component repairs within the service center. Interface with product and repair engineering teams to disposition products with non-conformance. Technical review of customer inspection reports and act as an interface with internal customers for repair technical clarifications. Key point of contact for customer witness inspections. Support the qualification journey to build up product repair capabilities within the gas turbine cell. Responsible to define the repair scope and method for each production order in order to optimize repairs and improve job cost productivity. Overall responsibility for work instruction, process methods and translation of global repair engineering instructions on the shop floor. Collaborate with the ITO team on work scope and repair cost estimation for new opportunities. Act as a technical coach and guide the broader cross functional team to enhance their technical competence.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing). Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
