Job description / Role
Lead Midwife - Dubai
Provide advice, care and support for women (Emirates Home Nursing clients) and their babies during pregnancy, labour and the early postnatal period. This might be done through home visits or telephone/email communications.
Arrange and provide parenting and health education to Emirates Home Nursing clients.
Give support and advice on the daily care of the baby to new mothers including breastfeeding, bathing and making up feeds.
Participate in the training and supervision of our newborn care nurses.
Participate in health conferences and present lectures related to the scope of work.
Take part in the promotion and marketing of Emirates Home Nursing services to maternity unit managers, mums’ groups in Dubai and other similar social groups.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience in antenatal and postnatal care or MDU (delivery unit).
Experience as lactation consultant is a plus.
Nursing education: Willing to design and deliver training programs to our nursing team.
Public speaking skills.
Caring and compassionate personality.
Interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexible and responsive to the unique needs of individual women and their families.
