Responsibilities

Purpose:

Specialized planning engineer inputs and involvement in reviewing and approving TSE design documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Discipline engineer in one or more integrated in-house/contractor teams handling multiple project responsibilities.
• Execute technical work for FEED and detailed designs (designs, specifications, drawings, etc.) within designated CTR scopes.
• Maintain excellent planning performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle.
• Implement, practice, and monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in FEED office projects in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition requirements.
• Carry out appropriate discipline and inter-discipline checks and reviews of engineering and design work.
• Contribute to the development of execution contracting strategies that complement designs, construction methods, and operating methods.
• Remain engaged in design issues and decisions throughout construction, commissioning, and start-up.
• Create demonstrable value for customers by understanding their drivers and critical success factors.
• Capture and apply internal and external learnings and incorporate improvements.
• Deliver continuously improving performance, benchmarked as top tier in the industry.
• Ensure time is recorded accurately each week.
• Ensure own discipline engineering and design work are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews conducted.
• Ensure quality of technical work and the technical integrity, functionality, constructability, safe operation, and reliability of designs.
• Be involved in multiple engineering reviews and provide sound design inputs.
• Contribute to excellent planning performance throughout the engineering phase of the project life cycle.
• Maintain effective interfaces and relationships within and between disciplines, and peers in other EP projects teams and assets.
• Emphasize development of young TSE engineers.
• Provide guidance and advice on planning matters in a consistent manner in line with that agreed within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience, including at least 10 years in oil and gas and 6 years in FEED/engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in the Middle East is preferred.
• Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution.
• Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities.
• Ensure that work and project promises are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews have been conducted.
• Establish and maintain engineering processes, systems, and tools (software).
