Role Summary:

The Lead Risk Analyst demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide financial and technical leadership in the development of an overall commercial finance & risk management strategy for new and existing engine and service contracts Prepare comprehensive business / financial forecasts, reports, and/or analysis
• Work to identify key opportunities for the application of commercial finance assessment tools Work across internal organizations to instill core knowledge / competency on engine and service products and contract processes
• Identify opportunity areas where special analysis may help improve financial decisions
• Assist leadership in meeting all financial commitments and goals
• Contribute to and drives process improvements
• Provide financial expertise and counsel to clients and team members
• Develop processes to support the extended Commercial Finance Management team, Contract Program Managers, Platform Leaders, Engineering staff, Sales and other GE organizations

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a risk management position)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field such as; Finance, Accounting, Risk, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Services, or Systems where roles required frequent use of Financial and/or quantitative analytical tools, skills, and processes Or completion of a GE Corporate training program (FMP, EEDP, OMLP, etc), and/or CAS (Corporate Audit Staff) where roles on program required frequent use of Financial and/or quantitative analytical tools, skills, and processes

Desired Characteristics:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance is preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Sound business acumen
• Demonstrated success in a project leadership role, with the ability to influence others in a highly matrixed environment
• Knowledge of contract processes and proposals
