Lead Workshop Engineer

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with an international EPC who is looking to hire a Lead Workshop Engineer to supervise the dismantling and assembling of engine and gas compressors.

Reporting to the service manager, you will lead the engineers/technicians on the shop floor to repair the engines and compressors. You will delegate workload to meet customers' requirements as well as set up repair procedures and checklists. You will also provide suggested corrective actions, assist in defining new scope, manage the warehouse and control the stock inventory. In conjunction, you will work with the manager to suggest continuous improvement methods to increase efficiency.

Requirements

The successful candidate should be Degree educated in a relevant discipline or have a Diploma accompanied with in-depth experience. You should have working knowledge of lathes, presses, dip tanks and other shop equipment. You should also have previously assembled and dismantled combustion engines and gas compressors. In addition, you should be fluent in English (written/spoken) and be able to work in tight spaces and adapt to the climate and temperature.
